Engine Runs House Fire in Seat Pleasant

At around 2030hrs. as the Engine was returning from a Box Alarm at 3916 Regency Parkway "27's area", the Engine was alerted on the air to respond 2nd Due to the area of MLK Hwy/ Addison Rd "8's area". Engine 171 (w/4 Volunteers) responded and advised that we will be taking the 4th Due position due to our location. E38 arrived to find a corrected address of 5925 Martin Luther King Hwy. On the scene of a 1-1/2 Story Single Family Woodframe construction home with Smoke Showing on Side-A and Fire Showing from Side-C. Engine 17 arrived and completed E37's reverse-lay, advanced the 400'-1 3/4" attack line to the rear to back-up E37. Crews found Fire Showing and assisted with extinguishment, opening up and checking for extensions on Side-C-Charlie. Command (BC1 Ware) held E38, E33, TK9 & RS8 to finish overhauling, Engine 171 returned in about an hour.
