Hello to everyone keep up the great work you are doing. Will look for some old pictures and e-mail them to you. How old- black&white old. Had some great times in and out of the firehouse. If you see Joe Fusco ask him if he ever mastered the game of hearts. Chief Milstead I'm still around, but not in Maryland. Hope you and your family is doing well. The Fighting 17 is looking as good as ever.
Everyone stay safe SONNY

Hi everyone at Boulevard Heights! Sonny Yates IS still around and doing well. We live in Arizona. I remember going to the fire house, I always thought Santa Claus came in town on the fire truck. Very proud memories watching you guys work hard to put out fires. Alot of good friends and great families were a huge part of my childhood. You can email Sonny Yates at sonshine2@q.com. I know he'd love to hear from his old friends at BHVFD. Keep up the good work!

I went back to Boulevard in 2007 with 2 other Jr members and toured the refurbished 17 quarters. We were all saddened to see the Trophys that we were so proud of back in the day had been relegated to an attic in what was once the Hose tower. Life goes on and times change; Ralph Small, the Fusco's, Mr. Boreman, Chucky Ball, Doc, Step, Queen, Moose, Hawk, Little Hawk and so many others are long gone. I miss the Soul Train, and the friends that I called brothers at 17. I am pleased to see a few familiar names still on the membership list, that is always a good sign. Keep up the Proud Tradition of Co 17!
Thank you for stopping by our booth at the Anne Arundel County Fair this past weekend. We appreciate everything that your company does for the area! Keep up the good work! The paintings will be coming your way soon via a rough draft in e-mail!
Thank You Again! Jenny and Mark Chase

I'm doing some nostalgia stuff. Is there anyone around there that has been in that area for 30 or 40 years. I used to live out there in 1964. I was stationed at Andrews AFB. At the time the address was 4910 T st SE but now I think the street is Torque Street. I was just wondering if the house was still there. I notice that the 4900 series is no longer recognized by the Post Office. Has the County renumbered the streets? Or am I off. I seem to remember hitch hiking Marlboro Pike to get to the Base. I do remember one day walking down Southern Ave and hearing a crazy siren go off. I thought it was the 3 minute warning. (Just in from the midwest, your siren did not sound like any I'd heard) I like the site. Thanks, Mike

you guys really look good and I would like to meet some of you sometime when I am driving through Maryland. Also would like to gt a aptch if possible.
Well I must say its sad to see that the county took the truck away from us and placed it at co 829<29>.But thats fine it will only make the membership there to be more steonger.TK17 will be miss, how ever the real TK17 which we old timers and new commers refere to as the SOUL TRAIN will never be miss.Every station goes through hard times and some how come back even stronger, which i hope that boulevard will do.My brothers and sisters at boulevard remember to keep your heads up and keep a open heart and we will prevail from all of this.l also would like to say that things do change and for the better ,MARK MY WORD.We'll let me get back to my work here at communications i have my crews time sheet to take care of.Just a little hint to my family members and others that knows me I JOIN BOULEVARD in MAY OF 1972 as a junior member at the age of 17,so that makes me the longest living member,I will be retireing from my job of 31 years from the PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER.My last night here at the center will be September 28 2009,1700-0500 so if you want to here some old radio talk such as HEARTY TACK join me on that night i will have a surprise for everyone. My official retirement date will be OCTOBER 02,2009,so expect me to spend a little more time at the house on the hill. But for now ill see you all soon ...and make sure you all pick up my book when it comes out....THE SECRETS IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY ...HA HA HA LOL LOL.....LUV YOU ALL......WADE EUGENE IRBY...IRBY>
Man, I sincerely hope you all keep your head up and keep up the good fight! I have many many great memories and I continue to have great hopes and dreams for you all and your department! Good luck to you all and best wishes

Hey everybody, I would like to say on behalf of Co 17 thankyou from all your comments and encouragement. It is nice to read the memories from past members. We would like to include Boulevard history in our web page, because without the past there would be no present. So if you have any pictures or stories that you would like to see added to the web page please e-mail them with contact information. Thankyou once again for all your support, and for those from other stations the support is returned from my station to yours.

Learned to drive and tiller the Soul Train and when CPVFD members would see my name on the drivers list for the truck and not a driver for CPVFD it always made them wonder Spent many a weekend at 17 when the C model Make was the wagon the 70's in South Side was just wild My Pride was being a Driver on Fan Van 17 and taking in calls all over the place because the Wagon & Truck was full so I took the Fan Van and went to addresses I still hear on the radio Tom Shand, Tony & Chris Bizjack all from CPVFD had just a great time back in the day of Donnie Fusco Alton Ave and PA Ave can never be looked at with out flashing back to the way the Soul Train snaked over to Shadyside Ave and over into Silver Hill Grandpaw Roy Milton Stanbrough was Lt at Hillside back in the 30's with Uncle Will Tirney never new about Grandpaw FD members till just a few years ago Need to post photos and history of the Dept so you know where you came from and why BHVFD history is passed on
